FINALIST OF THE QUALITY COFFEE COMPETITION
COOCACER ARAGUARI 2019
The owner of Fazenda Furnas looks over his plantation with immense satisfaction. It represents over 30 years of work alongside his family. Located in the municipality of Indianópolis, in the Cerrado Mineiro region, the farm spans a total of 341 hectares, of which 205 are dedicated to coffee cultivation at an altitude of 940 meters.
The farm, which holds certifications and produces coffee using both natural and pulped cherry processes, renews 10% of its coffee area annually. Its production, harvesting, processing, drying, and storage structures have been modernized, and a sustainable production management system has been implemented. All electricity consumption is generated on-site, including for other production units owned by the group, through the installation of photovoltaic cells.
Quality is pursued season after season, yet all investments are guided by sustainability and respect for people and the environment.
