DOUGLAS FERRARINI
FINALISTA DO CONCURSO CAFÉS DE QUALIDADE
COOCACER ARAGUARI 2019
The young coffee farmer inherited his ancestors' love of coffee growing, but it took him a while to discover he was a coffee farmer and passionate about this dynamic crop.
His grandparents were coffee farmers in Paraná, and his father, Gilberto Ferrarini, continued their legacy. However, he changed the course of the family's history when he moved to Minas Gerais in 1997 in search of new opportunities. Thus, the Ferrarini family began a new chapter in their history with the acquisition of 30,000 coffee trees in the Araguari region.
As an adult, Douglas decided to take a different path and graduated in Pharmacy in 2005. He practiced his profession for 12 years. However, his love for coffee farming and his family's legacy prevailed, and he abandoned his profession to dedicate himself to coffee farming.
Together with his father and the family he raised, Douglas manages the farm and is grateful for this culture that unites his family, provides a livelihood, connects them to the world, and promotes recognition for their work. The Ferrarini Group is a finalist in the 2019 Coocacer Araguari Quality Coffee Competition.
