- LADMIR DE LIMA -
FINALIST OF THE QUALITY COFFEE COMPETITION
COOCACER ARAGUARI 2019
He is one of those coffee growers who has coffee in his veins and in his family history. Representing the fourth generation of his family in coffee cultivation, he learned from his ancestors that this is a challenging yet deeply passionate craft.
Ladmir is the great-grandson of a European immigrant who helped pioneer the lands of Paraná for coffee cultivation. Through sacrifice, his ancestor acquired land and began production. Successive generations continued the work until frost devastated the plantations, prompting Ladmir’s father to move to the new coffee frontier: the Cerrado Mineiro region.
The new lands brought hope, but also a new challenge: water scarcity during the flowering period. This adversity was overcome with knowledge, research, technology, and a determination to thrive in the new lands. Today, Ladmir takes pride in his story and in the new chapters he has written, committed to continuously improving the quality of the coffee beans harvested season after season.
