Douglas Fortunato Ferrarini
- FERRARINI FAMILY -
FINALIST OF THE QUALITY COFFEE COMPETITION
COOCACER ARAGUARI 2019
The young coffee grower inherited from his ancestors a taste for coffee cultivation, but it took him some time to discover himself as a farmer and to fall in love with this dynamic culture.
His grandparents were coffee growers in Paraná, and his father, Gilberto Ferrarini, carried on the legacy. However, he changed the course of the family’s history in 1997 when he moved to Minas Gerais in search of new opportunities. This marked the beginning of a new chapter for the Ferrarini family, with the acquisition of 30,000 coffee trees in the Araguari region.
As an adult, Douglas chose a different path, graduating in Pharmacy in 2005 and practicing his profession for 12 years. Yet the love for coffee farming and his family’s legacy spoke louder. He left his profession behind to dedicate himself fully to coffee cultivation.
Together with his father and the family he built, Douglas now manages the farm. He is grateful to this culture that unites his family, provides their livelihood, connects them to the world, and brings recognition for their work. Grupo Ferrarini was one of the finalists in the 2019 edition of the Coocacer Araguari Quality Coffee Contest.
