TAKAO YANAGI

The owner of Fazenda Furnas looks at his plantation and feels immense satisfaction. It represents the work of more than 30 years together with his family. Located in the municipality of Indianópolis, in the Cerrado Mineiro Region, it has a total area of 341 hectares, of which 205 are dedicated to coffee and cultivated at an altitude of 940m.

The farm, which has certifications and produces coffee using natural and pulped natural processes, has been renewing 10% of the coffee area annually. Its structures and processes for production, harvesting, processing, drying, and storage have been modernized, and a sustainable production management system has been implemented. All electricity consumption is generated on the farm itself, including for other production units belonging to the group, through the installation of photovoltaic cells.

Quality is something that is pursued crop after crop; however, all investments are made based on sustainability and respect for people and the environment.
